2018 3” lift and yes I’m kicking the dead horse!!!

    So I’ve read all the information on the following link and just want to make sure I’m understanding this correctly....

    Basically I can go the $300-$400 route and there is a chance I will eventually have some kind of suspension issue, ie. cv boots, excessive wear and tear...

    Or, I can spend $1000-$1500 and do it the proper way and preserve my suspension geometry likely mitigating any future front end issues. Plus I’ve read it will maintain factory ride or improve it some.

    I’m certainly no “big bank hank”, but I didn’t spend this kind of money on a truck that I plan on keeping a really long time just to junk it up right off the lot.

    I’m simply wanting to run a 285 tire and give me a little extra ground clearance so I can chase those swamp chickens! Plus I plan on adding an ARE HD camper at some point.

    I need your help and any links/info you may have to help me make a well informed decision!

    What options are you thinking about? what's your $400 option vs the $1500 option?

    Steering /CV geometry is going to change regardless of what you pick. That doesn't necessarily mean your going to be eating up tierods and CVs.

    Drop bracket lifts keep near stock geometry but come with their own set of issues and will be the weak link in your suspension.

    The front crossmember is removed and replaced extended bracketry that adds increased leverage and torsion to the front suspension. Not to mention the huge spindles and top plate spacers. DB lifts are notorious for causing alignment issues and excessive tire wear.
    Don't get me wrong they look sweet in the whole foods parking lot
