2018 3rd brake light removal

sorry for the new thread. I’ve pulled a bit of the dead liner and removed the 2 nuts. But I’m missing a clip and can’t really see well as the headliners semi down. What am I missing for full removal?

Super techs on the forum please help!

 

2 nuts are all that holds it in. The foam gasket could be glued/melted to the truck causing it not to break free. Just pull harder

It was just the foam seal giving me issues cause I was being easy on it. A trim removal tool was perfect to get it out. Would you happen to know the wire color code for the back? I’m working from my phone and it’s a pain to dig into google searches.

 

white/blk- ground
Green-Cargo
Purple-Brake

 

I’ve got colors close enough to make that work lol! #2018 issues.

 

What colors do you have? Mind taking a pic?

 

Once I pulled the tape and check it was good. The purple bleed onto the white and green discoloring them.

 

Once the tape was removed the colors were clear. T

 

Done and I added some silicone just to overdo the weather proofing.

 

For the next person...no need to cut. Unpin and get mating connectors...

 

where can you get those connector? i'll have my meso bd4 to instal
