oh i go back and forth. there are days i love driving the m/t and other days i'm like ugh, wish i had an auto. i drove my father n law's 17 pro auto and it drove fine. meaning i didn't notice any bad behaviors vs any other vehicle unlike what i see posted here a lot.

The Henderson dealership, Findlay Toyota, called me to tell me they have a Calvalry 4Runner in. Best they will do is $5k over MSRP. I asked if I could order one at MSRP and they said no.

 

I 100% guarantee there are many dealerships that will order one for you. I ran into the same crap until I started calling around and asking the right questions.

When 3rd gen news of Pro first came out I called 31 dealers to get one

In order to be one of the first Pro owners here I got offer from two dealers - NV and OR dealer (both recommended in this forum). One was to be invoice + $500 and other was MSRP

Got exactly what I wanted. Cost me $300 in air plane and $$150 in gas to get truck back here

63,000 miles on my 17 6MT cement Pro and still loving it. Aside from both headlights replaced under warranty for condensation issues, I have had 0 complaints

 

Jayfish - how do you like the Wildpeak tires? I got my truck a month ago and have been thinking about changing out the tires. Your truck looks great BTW.... but I am partial to black so thats what I got!

 

Thanks man! The tires came with the truck and so far I’m it’s been doing great. I like how it looks compared to the stock and I think it handles well. Black is an awesome color!! My buddy is looking to pick up his black TRD Pro tomorrow!

My tacoma delivery range is between tomorrow and Wednesday. I’ve already sold my golf r with a little equity, courtesy of carmax. I’m flying in to Oregon hopefully Sunday if not I have to wait til Tuesday cause of work.

What do you guys think about this? Any space for haggling? I also got approved at a credit union so the money is ready as well. I’m putting around 5000 to 7000 cash. I haven’t decided yet.

They’re charging me the California taxes so I don’t have to do anything here at the dmv.

 

Haggling should be complete by this stage. The dealer has all the leverage at this point.

This. I took care of that part on the initial phone call. I said “I’ll fly out to KC, and pick that up, if you’ll do my number. My credit card is right in front of me, let’s put this deal together.”

 

Well at that price I’m getting a fair deal being from SoCal so I can’t complain. I just thought I could still give them a little push since I’ve been waiting for it since December and it’s barely happening this week. Thanks for the input.

 

Finally picked it up yesterday. Now I’m cruising down California back home. Thanks for everyone for their advice. I got it from Kendall Toyota at bend, OR. I recommend dealing with J. Hill (sales man) and Joe Wittwer (sales manager). Easy breezy transaction. I got a rate from a credit union and they matched it and gave me a sweet deal in parts and extended warranty.
