2018 DCLB shortage?

Where are all the 2018 double cab long beds? Do they not start making them until later in the production year since the SB’s are so popular, or....? Looking for one with the tech and premium packages but not seeing any.

 

They've always been the harder ones to find.

My double cab long bed was built 12/6 arrived 12/14

 

Not as hard as Access Cabs.

 

I should have said that I have seen them, just not very many and I can’t say that I’ve seen a white one on the ground anywhere.

Grrr. Plenty of five footers available in the configuration I want. I don’t understand how so many people get by with a SB?? Not trying to start a war but I just don’t get it. Time to order one I recon.

 

I feel your pain. My 2006 was an access cab with the long bed. Between not liking what they did to the 3rd gen access cabs and enjoying the extra room in the DC, I wasn't willing to add 13 inches to the truck or wait.

Whats wrong with 3rd Access Cabs?

 

I didn't like what they did with the jump sesats and headrests. I really liked the 2nd gen set up.

They been the same since 2007 or 2008. I wonder if the old bench seat setup could be installed in a newer truck.

[7568] 2018 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road Double Cab 6' bed V6 4x4 in [040] Super White. With the tech and premium packages. Going in tomorrow in attempt to order one. Wish me luck.

 

I hear you, the SB looks cooler, but it's a truck, get some room in the bed. I took me months to order and get my 2017 DCLB. Be patient and wait for exactly what you want.

 

You will love it!! Got the same in MGM and it has been just the perfect do all rig. I was lucky enough to have my local dealer call me when one came on the lot near me. Good luck with your order!

 

They look kind of goofy so they don't make as much because the demand is low.

Thank you for the encouragement! There are SB's all over, I could have one tomorrow but I'm so used to a LB. Currently limping along on a '99 KC TRD OR, it is tired.

I had an 08 and a 15 Access Cabs and they were a little different in the rear, there seemed to be a little less room in the rear of the 15.

 

I have the same configuration in MGM, I had no trouble getting it in
