Just got my truck back from dealership. Finally got an actual mechanic on the phone, he explained that the flange on the axle was machined too small, so the brake drum was essentially being held in place by the tightness of the lug nuts. When I brake hard, drum starts rocking around the axle flange causing the bad vibration. So far issue seems fixed, tried easing on handbrake several times while coasting and definitely not getting the bad shake anymore. Let's hope it holds up! Now I can get some new tires for this thing and get it offroad somewhere

I'll update my ongoing issue with my brakes. 2018 Off road.

Noticed out of round feeling in the rear almost immediately with 200 miles on the truck. Took it in with 3k miles. Was told it was too tight from the factory, loosened them up, also turned the drums to them to smooth out. The ride home from that fix, they were clicking. Took it back apparently there was something inside the drum causing the clicking. Seemed like all was good.

6k miles now, out of round feeling is completely back, I told them about tsb-0023-19 (warped axle). They said my truck doesn't fit the VIN requirements. Turned the drums again.

I'm totally convinced I'm headed back there in another 3k miles since nothing was actually solved. Why would they keep going out of round? How many times can drums be turned? Starting to get super frustrated.

Same issue, bought mine new. Dealer claimed they resurfaced the discs. Haven’t had an issue since, but definitely baby the brakes. Trash truck, but holds its value, so keeping it.

    Bought mine new, as well.

How many miles are on yours since the dealer resurfaced the rotors?

Still smooth. I must have had a better tech the 3rd time than the previous two.
