I finished the wheels by making custom center caps which completed the look nicely. I also added raptor style running lights to the 2020 TRD grille with a lot of dremeling and adhesive.

    Couple updates.

I added the LED C-Tube Spyder taillights and ended up really liking them!

I decided that I wanted to try a more aggressive/wider tire on the 18x9.5 KMCs. I found a great deal on some Amp 35x12.50 Mud Terrain take offs after some Jeep guy went to 37s.

They look SO good but I can't stand them. The lugging vibration during starting/stopping and the resonance from the tires' humming on the freeway is too much for me. So they're coming off and I decided on some Kenda Klever RTs in a 35x12.50.

All 35s are not 35 haha. Side by side Kenda Klever and Amp M/Ts 35x12.50. Who doesn't like tire porn?

    Uh oh.....

Had to get cutter and hammer out to make more room.

Updated pic. 35x12.50R18 Kenda Klever RTs installed. I REALLY like these tires so much. They seem to like 32psi cold/35psi hot. They don't lug, they look amazing, they do have a hum on the freeway but it's not bad. They are totally passable for a daily driver.

Wow those Kenda's look great! I'm looking into getting a set as well. Have you had any time with them offroad? How do they perform?

Not yet personally but look them up. Lot of Tacoma and Jeep owners rave about them off road.

Photochop of next mods - amber all the lights and TRD badge. I will make it so this week.

I can't decide on amber or white fog lights, but I can change that with the clear or amber lenses from Baja Designs so I can experiment with it. The truck has been a little too monotone for my liking with almost all black and grey so the amber really breaks things up and ties in well to the DRLs.

Pulled the predator steps and added the tyger steps. The step is a little too high, you can't exit the truck without rubbing your pants on them and the step logo is kinda cheesy but I actually really like these overall; they are heavy and nicely finished and seem well assembled.

Also, the OEM battery died so I replaced it with a Group 24F Interstate from Costco for $90 which is a great deal, $40-$50 cheaper than auto part stores for lesser brands.

Put a cool TRD badge on the grille.

Put a cement vinyl decal over the chrome grille emblem.

Oh, and installed 5.29s and ran almost 100 miles of break in cycles

Thought it looked familiar. I used to jet ski there all the time. Very nice build, by the way.

I got OV tuned today with 2.0. I'm still in gear break-in, so I can't mash the pedal, but I can tell the driveability has gone up even on light throttle. Gears are at 140 miles so far, so good.

Curious how much did it cost you for your ovtune? I've got the catted downpipes to install from afe, but with an ovtune I heard its impressive,

5.29 gears well over 700 miles now, good break-in, fluid changed.

Finally got a 35" spare. Kind of hate that I have to put it in the bed, but there's no way a 31" tire is going to cut it safely.
