All bolt ons + tuning solution. Capable of running high 13's.
    2.7lt V6 Ecoboost @ mid $30'sK for a decently equiped model.

Make that happen and I'm sold.

I can consider the 2.3lt Ecoboost too.

This is not a 2018 Ranger. It is the current global Ranger. Stock photo.

Competition is very relevant to the Tacoma and it's buyers.

I drove one while deployed, they are very nice/cool. I would consider one in a heartbeat. My first truck as a 2003 ranger in high school.

No. Lol. It will have a true locker. Heck it might even get the F150 rear end. I wouldn't doubt Ford will share parts between the two considering how close they will be in size and the fact that the F150 is built in a plant a few miles away. It's all a pretty good suggestion that this truck will see the 2.7 L Ecoboost at least.

I will jump on it right away if it has aluminum panels, a look like it's big brother, 2.7 L Ecoboost (or 3.2 L Diesel, would have to drive to decide), and some support for aftermarket lift, armor, tires, etc.

If ford does release this it will crush the 2.5 gen tacoma. the previous ranger had a great reputation, the f150 has a great reputation, any new ford i have been in laty has been impressive also. This is the way to move forward, toyota just shit the bed with the 2.5 gen.

Was never a fan of the Ranger. Had one and hated driving it every day. happiest man alive when I got rid of it.

    This...
I've had both Fords and Toyotas over the years and both have treated me well. The 3G Tacoma did little to spark an intrest in me... I usually keep my vehicles for about 10 yrs or so. $36,000 and 10 more years of essentially the same truck.... I could see the 2.7lt in a Ranger putting a big grin on my face. Put a mild tune on that and :D.

The last Ranger was a compact with a terrible front suspension setup for it's last few years. This truck will be cutting edge and hopefully bring a lot of the F150 innovations with it. This is not the old Ranger in anything but name.
