These 3 sound just like me.

So woke up at 4am and the absolute first thing that when thru my mind was I had quali recorded downstairs. Needless to say I didn't go back to sleep.

SOO much more enjoyable to watch the world feed. Commentary was spot on. Not nearly as much unless information before dropping legitimate race knowledge. Seemed like everything Martin and who ever the main commentator was said was on point. I'm super happy with Sky's coverage. Now to quali....

I am always surprised how close everything is in Q1 just to get the Q3 and the time are LITERALLY SECONDS faster. HAM's lap was astonishing. I was a little surprised that one of Red Bulls didn't brake into the top 4 (assuming BOT would have been a couple tenths off Lewis.) How about Haas tho?! And Force India on the other end?!

Gonna be a bad ass year.

 

Very nice to see Haas performing well. Too bad McLaren couldn't pull it together.

 

Bottas' engine survived the crash , the gearbox did not . 5 grid place penalty .

Vettel seemed so composed. I give him 4 races max before the rage resurfaces. Unless he's winning.

Either Hams lap was an astonishing display of skill or MB has a longer wick than every other team on the grid. Given the 3 engine rule I tend towards the former.

 

Mercedes still has a qualy boost mode that nobody else has matched but that may not translate in the race if Ferrari can stay close and undercut Hamilton

 

and the Red Bull's both set their fastest times in Q2 on the supersoft . With everybody else in the top 10 starting on the ultrasoft , Red Bull is going to try to go on a long first stint and one stop onto the ultras later in the race when fuel loads have come down and everybody else will be on the slower tire

 

Ferrari has an ugly halo, with a mini spoiler on it as well.

 

If you log in on ESPN with your provider you can watch ESPN3 there. You can watch Live or replay the broadcast on the website. No ESPNEWS though, at least for me and my subscription.

I could really care less about basketball. Guess that's why I never cared for espn and still miss SPEED.

 

Okay its not just me that notices ESPN is talking about basketball when the time slot clearly says F1 Pre Race

 

It was on for a few minutes with no commentary and then it was gone.

 

Yeah I saw it flash right when I turned the TV on.

Then I went to bush my daughters teeth and I come back to basketball.

WTF

 

Now it's back.

 

Yeah heard switch when I was in the office.
