I'm not a Grosjean fan at all and hope Haas replaces him next year. I've never heard someone complain so much about the car as he has.

 

Nah, I'm thinking it will still be Ricciardo to Ferrari, as much as I would like to see Hulk take Kimi's seat I don't think they want two German drivers and he has gotten passed up by the big teams too many times already. Although it would be interesting to see Ricciardo go to Ferrari and Hulkenberg take his spot at Red Bull or Grojsean's spot at Haas.

 

I would like to see Hulk at Red Bull. Then maybe a small teams driver at Renault and Grosjean if still a driver in the bottom team.

 

I imagine a McLaren seat opening up for next year. Especially if Alonso has success at Le Mans.

Do you think merc would get rid of Bottas? He seems to being doing good as a 2nd driver. If Ric moved there dont you worry it would end up being more like Ham/Nico again? Thinking as a team and not just by driver

I think they would take Danny over Bottas in a heartbeat. Bottas is a AWESOME #2 team driver. I think he could be the leading driver at a number of other teams and make a real go of it.

The difference, IMO, between Ros/Ham and Ric/Ham is that Danny would know he was the number #2 driver, with solid team support on the weekends he had the pace to take it to Lewis, or whomever. Nico never did get it through that blonde mop that he was #2. Never did realize that the main reason he was in F1 was because of one word...ROSBERG. Could he win? Sure, he proved that. But who else coulda won in that car, at that time? What...half the field? Notice how quickly he jumped ship when Lewis (one could argue the team) let that championship though his fingers? Lewis has ALWAYS had more pure, raw talent then Nico. Even through karting. He has bettered Nico their entire lives! Nico had a hard-on for beating Lewis. That's all he wanted to do after years of spankings for Ham. That championship was just a byproduct of being on one of the most dominate teams in F1 history.

I don't think DaniRic want's to be a #2 driver and I think he will push and challenge to get more out of the Merc than Bottas who is willing to accept that #2 title. Ricciardo is more aggressive than Valtteri and I'm not sure that is something Mercedes want to tame when they already have someone willing enough to step aside for Lewis when needed.

 

Drivers want to win the title and for thst they need to be in the best car

And Mercedes is the only team where he'd have a legitimate shot at scoring as many points as he and the car are able to score. He'll be a clear #2 at Ferrari or Red Bull. At Mercedes he would be an equal, and I think Ham would treat him as one.
