Not really. Would be pretty cool if he exceeds expectations and knocks fishlips down a notch or three though.

 

i wasn't following Gasly much before. but he's naturally stepped up to the big car. that doesn't happen every day. he's also a smart guy and can speak for himself well. he may be much more for F1 than you'd think now. I'm holding out.

just got a feeling that Gasly has more to uncover than VER does at this point.

man am i hoping you're right. let F1 overcome the entitlements. and i'm also thinking of Stroll. gawd.

 

I hope they both do well. I want to see the best of the best while they are young and watch them progress and earn seats in the top teams. Last thing I want to see is another aged veteran in a good seat without wins and just taking up space.

Screwing the group that saved Force India out of millions is a world class dick move. And bad for the sport overall since it probably relegates Force India to the back of the back of the performance pack next year and probably the following year or two also.

You are probably absolutely correct as far as legal entitlement goes. But in the end F1 can probably do as they choose with the "free" money now. The team is still the team. F1 is a small ecosystem with three distinct tiers. Competitive, midfield, and shit. And they have a problem generating real competition and growing viewership.
