2018 Formula 1 Season Paddock

Great day for Mercedes, not so much for Ferrari. I think Vettel had bad luck but no blame in the lap 1 incident, unlike Nico who really beat up on him in the commentary. Nico's still a jerk.

Hamilton needs to get off his victim kick. As well as he drove, he made a jerk of himself post race.

Verstappen got away with one dick move but not a second, shocker. Third dick move; he cost his team points and money by not letting Bottas past and then slipstreaming him to stay >5 seconds ahead of Vettel. But he's the golden boy on that team so it will just go on by. Ricciardo is right to walk away from that.

Even with the recent missteps Ferrari and Vettel are still very much in the hunt. It should be an exciting next few races.

 

I think it was more the fact that it was the 27th attempt BOT made on the slower Red Bull in a 5 lap span, and the only way Max was gonna keep the position was be doing what he did.

Most truth I have heard this week.

*EDIT* I thought it was a very entertaining race. HAM v. Ferrari, HAM v. Kimi, Seb coming thru the pack, BOT v. RIA v. HAM, Kimi v. Tire deg....lots to talk about.

*EDIT 2* Not to mention Merica's Haas finished 6th. And Force Canada 'eh is already 8th on constructors points.

 

Meh think you are looking to hard at ways to hate him if thats what sets you off. Tons of pro players say that. O we won the Superbowl....I'd like to thank god....

His post race interview started off decently....I'd like to thank Bottas, Ferrari gave a good hard race, but then it went downhill....And to all my fans sorry for the bad environment blah blah blah. He has such a weird complex where he seems to feel like everyone is against him. God forbid a fan just likes Kimi or Seb or Max or Ric or whoever the fuck they want instead of you.

 

That was a pretty entertaining race until for some reason I totally lost all interest with about 10 laps left

I really liked the race. Sad for Alonso and Ricardo.... Was rooting for Vetel in the end as I am so tired of Vestappens multiple moves for defending and always getting away with it. Loved the Joker comment from Vestappens pit.

I was wondering if SV was going to get dropped. Hard to keep up with Alonso in a sub performing car to show how good you may be... Alonso does do a good job in a not so great car

 

Not me. They do talk to him considerably more then anyone else tho, which I find odd (like does nobody else WANT to talk to them, or is he trying to keep the Red Bull name "in the mix"?) . I think he is pretty concise with his points and opinions, and I don't feel like he trys push a the Red Bull agenda much.

As a firm HAM supporter, that also bugs me, much MUCH more. Are they not suppose to be impartial?

 

Yes, I'm also annoyed that they have 3-4 former drivers commentating each race. I wish they would get someone with a technical background like Steve Matchett was on Speed and NBC. His perspective was interesting and I miss it. Four guys talking about apexes is too much.
