2018 harness issues

Well went to get a trailer and had a brake controller installed but trailer brakes would stay hot with out brakes engaged. Tested the brake controller and the trucks wiring harness battery power is coming from the blue not the black on the truck. Took it into the dealership and they said that's impossible. So I guess my question is has anyone had issues with faulty wiring in their 2018 tacos or any possible solutions?
