Yeah...... I think a lot of us dream about those, myself included. At the same time I wonder still how many would shell out the $75,000 for the base model with a tape deck. I dunno. The Tacoma starts looking pretty sweet if you add it all up.

If I wanted to hear music I'd visit Carnegie Hall, nothing wrong with a nice sound system in a Tacoma, I'd take the tape deck, I don't need to hear opinions when I drive.

After owning my 12 with the weak stock radio I realized I don't need music in my ride.

No media in the dash is a non issue.

    Wut wut, ain't going there.

Thanks for the offer, I actually just want the black 18” wheels on the Rocco. Too much of a headache importing a whole truck.

Yes. I’m good with it too. Just having a bit of fun. Finally got to use “wut” in a post. When we both break the bank to buy our 79LC’s I’m going to come visit you and we’ll swap cassettes.

Ok I don't have the new model Hilux but have this one since new and got most of the mods done I wanted. It's a 2011 model SR5 3litre turbo diesel.

got a Hilux question, ask away and will try and answer

Plastic has been in vehicles since before I was born. Plastic is good. Plastic is plenty strong. Safe. And usually when I call someone out on this sillyness as to what they would rather have in place of all that plastic in the interior, they cannot answer without sounding like a child. Metal? Wood? Just start naming shit. I don’t want to be surrounded by metal in the Tacoma. Wood? Yeah. I would be pissed if my dinner table was plastic, and my Tacoma interior was wooden. So what then? In place of all the plastic “crap”? Drywall? Cellulose fiber? Sandwich meat?

    Re read what i said.

Nothing wrong with good quality plastics.
But domestic cars seem to think an old garbage can makes a good interior.

    “Cheap” plastics are the problem.

Yours looks very similar to a Gen 2 Tacoma. Very nice. I wish I could get that 3 liter Diesel engine here.

I've done a mod or two
Had a buddy that just got back from Indonesia, he said most of these higher model Hiluxes are hardly ever seen because people just buy the base models and keep em forever. No roll bars, no automatic trannies, no front IFS, no gasoline engines, always 4x4, basic glass headlights, steel wheels, nothing to break haha.

I agree. I frequently drive rental cars and the last 10 years I cannot believe how bad "economy" cars are. They feel like I'm driving something Harbor freight would make.
