I got lucky and find the stock seat almost perfect for me. After reading these "seats suck" threads I have actively tried to find fault so I could make spacers to tilt/lift the seat but end up wondering how it could be better. The only thing lacking was heat and I have the Clazzio heated leather covers on order.

I'm not one of the seat sucks guys I'm just right at the headliner with the sunroof and when I look out the windshield I feel like I have to lower my head to see out. Other than that the seats are fine, I would love exactly what you mentioned a tilt/lift/lower of some type for different height levels for different drivers.

I struggled big time with seating position when I bought the truck. I'm usually a lower the seat to the floor, recline the back, lower the steering wheel and extend the column towards me kind of guy. In this truck, I have to sit way more upright, and jack the wheel as far out and up as possible in order to be comfortable. I'm 5'10" and now that I've gotten used to it, I'm pretty comfortable in the truck.

This describes me exactly, 5'10" as well but I have a 30" inseam so a long torsoe which put's my head right in the headliner. I researched this yesterday and I think there are solutions but they cost alot of money. I'm just going to have to deal with it the few times I drive this truck.

I must be all legs. 6'1" and almost 3" between my head and headliner.

Anyone tried removing seat-foam? Not sure how much is there but perhaps a replacement with something thinner but denser?

It is also dependent if folks slouch or not in the seat.

It seems that the driver's seat has a degree of "Goldilocks effect". I am one of the fortunate ones: my 2017 fits me just right.

I have owned it 10 months and have about 17,000 miles on it. It is my daily driver. Also, at least weekly, I am in it for a 4 hour round trip on the interstate (with a 3 hour break in the middle). Also, I have driven it on 3 multistate trips, each of which was in excess of 7 hours driving each way. I find the seating position to be very comfortable. A few months ago, I installed Clazzio seat covers which added even more comfort to the seat.

I don't mean to minimize the predicament of those who find the seat uncomfortable, which is compounded by its limited adjustment capabilities. Just saying that the seat works great for some.

I'm 6' and with the floor was lower (like Jeep Wranglers). Raising the seat only makes my head hotter. Toyota has been like that for years though, my 1995 is the same way. Legs go up and under the dash rather than hang out under it.

I’m trying to figure out a solution to this too. I find the seat quite comfortable when I’m on the road (6’ tall, probably 3”+ of head room), but it’s a problem when I’m cresting a hill off road and can’t see over the hood. I thought about trying my kid’s booster seat but my butt’s too big. Anyone using a removable cushion that’s any good? The ones I’ve seen are more for comfort than lift.

How much are you selling those seat kits for? What exactly does it come with? Thanks

@ImMrYo Contact him for his mirror relocate bracket. Raises it up out of the way. One of the best mods and very easy.

2019 RED OR with leather. The block on the driver 'inside' closest to the console will lay flat, but when tightened down, the bolt 'lifts' the left side of the rear block. I tried switching the block and the bolts, but it does the same on either block. The outer side lays flat and the bolt goes in straight and flat, but the side by the console, the bolt ends up going in more left leaning. I've tried with all 4 blocks and bolts and get the same thing happening. Don't know if this is unique to the 2019 TRD OR with leather, but I can fit a quarter under the left side gap, the left gap is ONLY on the outtermost side of the inside. Just wondering if anyone else has seen this?
