2018 jbl system - front door speaker play only the lows?

I'm rebuilding the truck I don't know much history of and trying to get the audio system back to normal. it's 2018 double cab jbl with stock amp.
the system is working fine, except my front door speakers play only the lows.i'm not sure what could be wrong. i tried plugging the front speakers into the rear doors and they play normal there.
since i have no starting reference of how the jbl system sounded stock, is this normal behaviour for the front door jbl speakers (given that they play only lows in front doors and normal frequencies when placed in the rear)
the dash speakers play fine fyi (which judging by the manuals - they are supposed to be on the same circuit with the front door speakers in the jbl system)

any thoughts? thank you.

 

In the JBL system, the front doors are only lows and the dash are highs. Two totally different amp circuits.
