2018 King of the Hammers - AZ Group Planning

I haven't needed one in awhile...

 

Goading you and Connor and Stumbles into running Hammer Trails though.

 

Which trail do you think would be doable?

 

We can do Cakewalk and Bull Frog. I’ve done those before. I was thinking about Chocolate Thunder

 

I think we can look at Chocolate Thunder or going way out to Cougar Buttes.

 

I was trying to look back at pictures but couldn't find a good one. I think the most difficult part of Chocolate Thunder would be the entrance onto the trail.


edit: I must be thinking of something different. Or it must have been the line they used just for the race. Looking around the 4:50ish mark of this video that entrance doesn't look bad. Staying left looks doable. Connor with his 37s could go more to the right up the hill.

 

I still think if we had taken my bedsides off last year I could have walked up CT.

 

Probably. So tough to tell in the dark.

 

I started feeling like crap this afternoon. Playing it by ear tomorrow, but a strong chance I'm gonna haul ass over Thursday evening for the main race Friday and cruise around Saturday morning.

 

I need to get ready tomorrow, been busy and haven't had time. Will load up the tent tomorrow and get my skid plate back on. Do some shopping and get packed.

I am struggling getting this damn skid plate back on. I need a rock crawler and a normal daily. lol

 

Sure wish I was heading out there this week. Got too much going on though. Been watching the live videos and sure looks like a good time! Have fun guys!

Well I finally got that piece on. Had to get some help, some new bolts, and a thread chaser to clean up my nuts. Time to clean up and get some ice, water, and a little food.

 

I am here in the middle if the desert and suck at navigation, lol. I am just going to try and get away from people and pitch the tent tonight.

 

I think tommy and his group are still out there. I have no idea if they are in the same spot or not from last year but if you see them link up.
