2018 Cement Gray Tacoma TRD sport
Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and been reading some other posts and you guys know your tacos. I just bought a 2018 Tacoma TRD sport in cement Gray. I used to have a 1980 Toyota 4x4, a 2012 FJ Cruiser trails team and now this. My wife also has a 2017 Toyota 4Runner already lifted 3 inches and 33's. She works for Sunrise Toyota here in Abbotsford B.C. Has been working with Toyota now for 13 years. When I asked about a lift, the service manager said that they had lots of problems with lifted 2018 because of the TSS sensor gets screwed up. Please let me know asap if there's a solution for this. I love the truck, but stock isn't cool. Thanks

I just installed TRD pro suspension. 1.75 lift in front and add a leaf in back 2" no problems at all with TSS.

There is a huge thread on this somewhere, maybe even in the stickied section of the 3rd gen "everything you need to know about lifting a 3rd gen" or something like that. A quick search on the site or google would answer this for you

Bottom line is that you can do at least 2 inch lift without any issue with the TSS. Not sure if you go to a 6 inch or something. Surprised your dealer is still telling that lie about it not working.

My dealer, installed lift for me. They did say Toyota rep told them to hold off installing lifts, until they resolve the few problems they (Toyota) encountered with lifting 18"s w/TSS.
But my dealer said no problem, with going head with lifts as long as you keep close to factory rake. That's their quote.

I just got back my 2018 TRD Sport back from getting my 2" Old Man Emu lift (front and rear) and 275/75 R17 K02's installed. I have taken it out on the highway and around town, so far no issues with the TSSP. I kept the original placement of the sensors in the grill. No faults and no lights on the dash. I also didn't re calibrate the system.

I put Icon suspension on mine set at about 1.75” of front lift on the coils and the AAL and resis in the rear. No issues here.

Did you have to do a CMC to fit the 33’s? Looking to do the same for my 2018 Off Road

I’ve used my TSS post lift quite a few times and have had no issues.
Also, I’m on 33s (285/75) and did no trimming or a CMC
