I used the RTT last year and it was ok. It is annoying to take it down and setup each day at the same spot. I wouldnt set it up until 10-11 each night after getting back from night wheeling and the mornings are laid back with no real rush to hit the trails. I may bring a ground tent but will probably use my RTT since I dont have a place to store it. I'll decide soon what I'm going to end up doing.

A RTT on the gooseneck would be pretty nice! Mount it to where it opens over the trailer and then you have a nice little patio... or a hard surface to fall onto, up to you!

If I had a tow rig and gooseneck, I would go this route as I could easily resell the RTT down the road if needed.

    We don’t have a RTT.

We have the REI 6 man dome, that’s 6’ in the center so we can almost stand up.
We have 3” air mattresses that slide into a Big Agnes 3” memory foam pad, giving lots of thick comfortable room for activities.

We set it up and live comfortably.

We just need to build stands that can easily be setup, get to Jambo, find a place to camp, setup the stand and then you and a friend slide the RTT onto the stand and then set it up.

Or a way to attach some sturdy legs to the base, raise it up, and then drive the truck out from underneath it.

Coleman Sundome, Coleman Air Mattress, and a Coleman sleeping bag... it works... just sucks in colder weather or when it rains for 3 days straight...

Has worked well for Jambo though... may try and get a new tent by Jambo tho.

Listen, it just another idea of something that I could market to the "overlanders" and make some good money off of.

I have actually thought about that before. I'd rather just build a trailer to move my bed rack on to. Then I have a trailer with the RTT for base camp use or move it back onto the truck for one night stays.

I just need to get a trailer, I was super close to getting a Teardrop style trailer. I still want one, but want to just pay cash for it.

Now if I was forewarned about being rolled. I would be like HELL YEA LETS DO THIS! And then quickly drink my beer so I wouldn't spill it!

You think he's kidding if you don't know him lol but he really will lay a vehicle on its side slowly just to scare someone lmao.

But he's also the only person I trust to wheel my truck too tho. He got skills when he's not trying to be a dick lol

If I know it is about to roll, the last thing I would do would be putting arms and feet outside of the vehicle.

    Ha.
