    Hi all,

Loving the truck and have about 700 miles on her already. I’ve noticed in the cooler mornings (or maybe always, but it’s gettitn colder now) when I start the truck there is a loud fan, almost a roaring sound. It eventually stops. I’ve heard the cooling fan or clutch fan noise posts, is that what this is? Is it normal?

I’m coming from a 05 RSX, so the loud roaring fan is new to me. Brand new truck, too. This normal?

Yes. The fluid in the fan clutch thickens as it warms, changing the rpm of the fan

Could be the HVAC Blower Motor fan. There's a special remedy notice for that part. I know it's for early 3rd gens. I'm not sure if it's an issue for your year.

Hes talking about the fan running off the crank. Its like Plane Jane said, there is a clutch that is more viscus at startup and makes the fan higher speed and louder until the truck warms up.

Safe bet your Acura had an electric fan up front. Like the others said the taco is mechanical and is loud on cold starts.

It’s the engine fan. Fluid is thicker when it’s cold and takeaway a few seconds for it to thin out and be flung out of the center.

I have the same fan noise going on at cold start. A loud gruffy whiny overtone. Once V4 1.7 engine slows, I hear a big click and the noise is gone. Fan still spins but is less frantic.

Thank you for all your time and posts. You eased my anxiety I had with this.
