Yeah, I don't understand that post either. It sounds like someone might be confusing the collision warning system with the radar cruise control. The Tacoma system has 3 distance settings so you can dynamically adjust the distance between your vehicle and the car in front of you. I wish it had 4 distance settings like my Jeep GC does, but 3 is not bad. The Dynamic Cruise feature is fantastic in the Jeep. I hope Toyota's is as good.

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but one major change for 2018 is that the 4x4 access cab 2.7 sr with 5 speed has been discontinued!! I know most people get the v6 but some of us have an affinity for the 4cyl/5sp combo. The only manual transmission available with a 4x4 will be the 6speed TRD models in 2018. So get em while you can...

Why not try to find a 17? There are still a few on the lots...

I work for the people who made this decision and get my vehicles through an internal system that doesn't have '17s as an option.

huh, this is new, where did you get your info?

only thing I remember is that only the 2 fleet models were discontinued.

    7164 - SR ACCESS CAB 4X2 V6 AUTO
    7593 - SR DOUBLE CAB 4X4 V6 AUTO

you still can get these ...

    7513 - SR ACCESS CAB 4X4 4-CYL. M/T LB
    7514 - SR ACCESS CAB 4X4 4-CYL AUTO LB

The only change I saw specifically mentioned was the first that you mentioned, but I don't remember seeing anything that showed a full list of what was actually available. I believe he got his info directly from his dealer's build sheet and my internal ordering does not allow me to select an '18 SR AC 4cyl 5spd so it seems to be true.

I'm looking at a dropdown list of models in the system and there's no "5-speed manual" on the description of any of them.

I don't think this is correct:

    7513 - SR ACCESS CAB 4X4 4-CYL. M/T LB
    7514 - SR ACCESS CAB 4X4 4-CYL AUTO LB

Are still valid build models as far as I can tell.

Correction: I don't see manual 7513 anymore. Either they dropped it, or we are waiting for updated build information. That would be a big enough deal, I would assume they would mention it a discontinued model. We will have to see if they update the build sheets. This explains why you are not seeing it on the system though.

can you look by model code 7513? I see 7514 is there but where the hell did 7513 go, it was there for 2017.

and no where did I find any rumors/valid info saying 7513 was being discontinued.

See above - You are right, it's missing. Hopefully just not in the build sheets yet.

thanks, if you look on Toyota's website for 2017, it still lists the 7513 model code and you can still build it on the website.

edit: here is a nice kicker, Toyota's pricing list I got a while back which is the basis of the master price/option thread.

Hope it's just late. I feel like it's only a matter of time before it's not an option for us either way, but I hope I'm wrong.

Most importantly, are they going to put the damn passenger floor mat clips back in? Most annoying part of my 2016 is the rubber OEM Matt gets pushed up and moved every time I have a passenger. My 2013 had the clips why not the 3rd gen. 40 plus grand and you skimp on 25 cents worth of plastic clips. WTF :der:

HI Guys, I should have been clearer. In the Prius i rented the radar started to reduce my speed when i was about 400-300 meters behind the car in front me of me. Well before I needed to switch lanes to safety pass the car. It was a worthless and annoying feature.
My point being is that it starts beeping and starts to slow you down when you don't need to. Being a big cruise control guy, i just found this super annoying. Since this was a rental I did not know about the settings, lets hope the 18 works better.
