2018 NASCAR Thread

Yeah. Aero has been piss poor in NASCAR and Indy this year... And F1 isn't looking as good either... NASCAR has a unique oppurtunity to rid the aero dependancy, and make it known to be the racing orgqnization with passing to steal some fans from Indy and f1.... But I doubt they'd try.

 

Minus the restrictor plate, the allstar race cars would match the X-3 that was tested years ago...

 

What's the weather looking like boys? @Bsheriff11 is it still raining in the area?

 

I was going to ask the same thing. Up here there would need studded tires with 1/4 of ice overnight.

Not sure who I despise more, Trevor Bayne or Austin Dillon. Both lucky Daytona 500 winners due to using the chrome horn. Blaney was the car to beat today.

 

Trevor does suck... Advocate pays his way though... But seriously the camera shows rain, this is BS. Wait until it stops so the track can be dry and the cars aren't driving a slip and slide.

 

Or am I the only one seeing raindrops on the camera?

I mentioned at the start of the season that this is easily the best car Paul Menard has had in his career. He's sitting in third place and doing well after that lap 3 incident. Sucks for Blaney. MacMurray was holding him up FOREVER in that first stage and them BOOM. Caught up in somebody else's crap. "Just on of them racing deals," as Bill Elliott used to say.

I totally forgot about nascar this weekend. I’m st the Indycar race in Alabama. Stopped by Dega yesterday and people are already showing up with their campers.

 

Indycar Racing in the wet is the most insane racing I’ve ever seen. Zero grip. Fish tailing when the turbos spoil up. 3-wide passing. 30’ rooster tails and driving with one hand because they’re wiping water off their helmets. Under red right now. Def. Coming back again next year.

We left. Ladies we’re miserable. At Bass pro now, looking at Martin truex’s car. He’ll be here Friday signing autographs.
