Big implications for a bunch of title contenders Sunday. I wonder how Richmond will play out. We'll have a pretty good idea of who will be beyond the bubble after that.

It was a decent race minus all the tires and Michael McWreckem. Imagine if no1 blew a tire and it was 5wide for more than 1 row.... (Did y'all catch the 5 wide battle towards the end?)

That race was such a snoozer. I missed the entire second half.

What a bone headed move by the 48. I am glad to see him out but needing sponsorship for 19 he really showed what he is about. I guess for JJ it's about keeping that win streak alive and not moving the team forward in the points. If I were CK I would be PISSED!

It was surprising, as Jimmie doesn't typically make boneheaded moves. Even he said it after the race (paraphrasing) "I raced for points and not the win, but we had such a good car. I should've settled for second. We had the points to advance if I hadn't wrecked."

But in this case, not second or first, but out.

    Questions to stoke conversation:
    (my answers in red)

Who will be in the #1 next year? Suarez, with sponsorship
Who will be in the #41? Probably Kurt Busch again
Who will be in the #95? Allmendinger or McMurray
Will #95 become new JGR satellite? Maybe?
Where will Suarez wind up? #1
Where will McMurray wind up? #95 or retire
Where will Allmendinger wind up? #95?
When will Jimmie Johnson retire? 2020
Who will be eliminated from the next playoff round? Dover, Talladega, and Kansas are next. I imagine Larson, Bowman, Elliott, Almirola are out
Who will be in the final four at Homestead? Harvick, Kyle Busch, Blaney, Keselowki

Wildcard pick, for sure, but we have Kansas, Martinsville, and Texas coming up. He's had good runs at these tracks.

    Dover predictions?

    I'd put money on the 48, 18, 78, 11, 4, in that order. Wildcard: 42

Well that deal with JJ was odd. Also, I think there were more people at Atlanta than Dover today.
