Looking to replace my entune head unit. Anyone out there done this? I know there maybe some entune lovers out there. But I totally hate this thing. No apple car play, navigation is trash. I wonder if there are anyone out there looking to buy my brand new 2 day old head unit?

    Understatement of the year

I hate mine too man - picked up my truck 2 weeks ago. Not enough to replace it, but it looks a few people here have done the swap...you might find some luck searching. There was some speculation about Andoird (and I assume along with Apple car play) maybe coming to these systems in the new year. Can't find the article but I hope Toyota smartens up with the times eventually...I'm holding out for that.

Looking to get this head unit. Even if Toyota comes up with a new unit, this means that you will have to either buy the new unit, or buy the new truck. I don’t think it will be as simple as an application update. I can’t believe I paid over $40k for a truck that has such shitty navigation and head unit. I just thought you paid good money and it should all work seamlessly. My wife’s Yukon’s factory system works amazingly well, even turns down the air conditioning when you talk to Siri in order for the mic to hear what you’re saying. Well thats enough of my rant for now. More to come I’m sure.

I don’t like how it sticks out like that. I mean it looks cool but only if it could be put in the dash flushed

I have always liked Alpine but this is far from refined and sleek. I watched the video and for those with a single din it may be okay, but it don’t think it even looks good in our trucks let alone seamless functioning. To each their own though. I do like Alpine but not this head unit.

I put in a factory Nissan head unit because their system I think is superior. It records XM radio on 6 channels and when I change stations it plays the beginning of the song not just wherever it's at. It may not be the prettiest but it was hella cheap and I'm happy with it.

I'm too cheap to buy a steering wheel control box in hopes it can translate OEM Nissan to OEM Toyota. GPS and backup camera work though.

Pioneer 8400 has been a popular choice among some.
Tons of features. But also quite pricey.

I actually like the pull up handbrake on the 3G. So much better for steep/hilly starts (for my manual).

I use phone navigation, no matter the head unit the convenience of the phone Navi surpasses that of the head unit. I’m able to stream music via Bluetooth/lighting cable. What else do people need?

I've had mine a day, and love it. I was hoping it would play MP3's burned on a CD, not only does that, but I can burn a boat load of MP3's on a flash drive and just plug it in. I put 73 songs on a flash just to try it out...too good. I never listen to the radio.
