Just went through Rubicon last week. I am not long travelled but have baja fenders front and rears. Only couple of scratches on them. But 33's on the trail sucks. I've ran the trail before but this year seemed harder for whatever reason. Anyways with good spotters, your truck will make it.

Staying out of the skinny pedal will be the hard part. I'm used to momentum with 2wd. We'll see. Hopefully they finish their new jeep and set a date.

    It's 4x4 now.

But I'm pretty sure my BIL and his buddies did it in a 2wd and a Chevy Sprinter one time.

Not enough to have a build thread.
Good. Idk if it would even work. But you'd have to bump your way through everything hard if you were only 2wd lol

I only have had issues in 2wd when the rear breaks traction and buries itself when the suspension droops out.

I would love to go to Rubicon. Put those sucker 35's to work and see if my trail limo can make it. How many days usually does it take?

Doable in a day. Typically it's a 3/4 day trip.

Assuming no one ahead of you breaks down.

The ticket for Rubicon events is to get up early and get in line early. And hope it's not you breaking down :D

Yep. If you don't break something you tend to be able to do the trail in 3 days no problem. If you break a tie rod or cv axle, you're okay, but if you do something more like grenade your diff, have fun. I meet a guy who had his t case let go on Little Sluice, this is before they blew it up and made it easier, but he was camped out waiting for a buddy to bring him a new t case so he could just get out of the trail.

Typically the trail isn't that unforgiving. If you're smart, go slow, use your armor and don't do anything too stupid, you'll make it out in one piece.

It was awesome. Had a blast on the kayaks. I’ll be headed back up Saturday with my dad. I think it’s going to be busy. So I’m hoping I can find a decent spot.

Went from 3rd Gen Taco to 3GT4R to 2nd Gen Taco and finally a V8 4GT4R.
I was thinking of heading up this weekend too but might refrain from doing so and choose a different spot. Unmarked campsite in stanislaus NF. Tried finding it via google maps but ended up saving the waypoint on my gps.
