Looking at the calender, looks like July 21/22 or AUG 25/26 are the only weekends that are open. On other weekends either trails are closed or way too many people going .

Mid week could work as long as it is not on Tue. I can do any other day of the week.

True. I would assume it is better to have more tacos there then jeeps. Most of the weekends are taken by jeep guys.

Any time the week after is good. Jamboree people pave the trail.

I’ve never heard they close the trail except for maintenance. Even then theyll usually let you by.

I think they close Rubicon springs (private property) for the event to camp/event at.

Although if you pick an “event” weekend you’ll likely end up sitting in traffic.

Jeep Jamboree might have enough clout to close the road... otherwise it is a county public road and anyone can use it as long as they don’t abuse it (ie they do hand out DUIs).

the last few yrs its been this way. jeeper jam have taking over the trail. they close it to public, unless you go in before or after the times posted. With 100 to 300 jeeps out there at a few hundred a person they have the money to back it. Unless you know more then me about it, im going on what my jeeper buddys tell me and i see posted.

And paved. Those rocks look easy enough to move if you’re worried.

1 of those events if you go in on Saturday and stay somewhere like buck island somewhere. Then on Sunday you could drive thru the springs. Because most folks leave there Sunday also and just keep going to Tahoe.
