The roads a couple of slides both sides. Rumor is they might get fixed later this year or next year. I wouldn’t leave my rig alone over night down there

Wife and I are headed to gold lake through Quincy around early in the morning. Know of anything to watch for on our way?
I haven't been that way in months.

May be closed. There's a thread somewhere, where they mention was going to be closed to build solar power restrooms.

:notsure: washed out a little bit, nothing major. Stacked some rocks and used a spotter, four of us made it ok.:mudding:guess they closed it since then. Hard to believe the closed it for that one small section. An hour with a shovel moving some dirt and rock and would be good till next winter. There's even a steel drain pipe for drainage.:frusty:

Backup plan is hit Union Valley or Loon lake if we cant camp at icehouse. I usually use channel 17 on cb if no cell phone reception.

Unless there's a locked gate?:notsure: Don't remember if there was a gate or not. Don't recall seeing one, but wasn't really looking for it.

No gate. Just an easel with a sign. Sent one truck up to check it out and he didn’t feel it was safe to have as many trucks as we had in our group. We utilized plan B and turned out to be an awesome weekend anyway!

The most narrow spot had obvious signs of continuous erosion from traffic. It was mayb 3-4”on each side of the tire before drop off on both sides. We also had a +3.5 LT truck with us.

Let us know how it turns out.
I’ve only made it with onions cilantro and lemon juice. Not bad but I know it can be better

It was pretty much just that. This was a low cal healthy version
    Mango salsa
1 red onion,2 mango's, 2 small jalapeno, cilantro to taste, fresh squeezed lime juice from 2 limes, salt and pepper.

    pared with slaw:
    2 cups of shredded cabbage
    2 teaspoons of honey
    1/2 squeezed lime

    For healthy vrs. grilled fish.

Or unhealthy add beer battered fish.
I had beer battered with mine it was pretty good but I think it would be better with Grilled fish. and less cilantro next time.

Took kids to Children's Fairyland overnight camping. Kids loved it! I would highly recommend for anyone who has kids. They close the park in the evening so you have the whole theme park to yourself. They provide dinner and breakfast so all you need is your sleeping stuff.
