Eagle Lakes is one of those spots that used to be absolutely amazing before social media blew it up. Call me selfish, but I don't share spots that I've been shown or found on my own either. Wanna camp at a spot you saw? It's on Follow Me Road and intersects with Honk If Shit Falls Off river. We all are enthusiasts here and the membership within NorCal is like no other on this site.

That also comes with a bit of selfishness since a lot of us have seen what's happened to some of the best kept camp spot secrets. Nobody is pointing fingers, it's just unfortunate what's happened with the huge influx of "overlanders" into the community. I appreciate everyone's candor and being cordial to one another.

Now let's go fucking camping, knock over some tables, jump over some fires, and have SWAT show up!

I see your point. I didn't post the location on Youtube, just here. I thought that was what this whole subforum was about, sharing camping locations. I was hugely mistaken. You guys are fun, I'm into it.

No worries at all bud. I think almost all of us in this thread have camped together at some point or another over the last 10 years. So sometimes our banter and behavior reflects that. However we do try to keep exact locations off public display and send out Gaia tracks or GPS via PM. Always room for one more on the #DBB trips if you are interested though. But please please please please, do honk loudly if shit falls off my truck.

Or @916TacoTruck's ass. I still can't believe he stood completely still taking a piss and drinking a beer (at the same time) for a 30 second exposure.

Half the fun of finding a fantastic spot is just that...finding it. My favorite campsite was found by driving around until I found it.
