I beat mine hard. They have about 40 k on them. But the last 6 I have been high speed beat the piss out of them with no bump or limit straps. They are Ford f150 Billy's so made for a heavy truck. 11.65" of travel in stock mounts. So with all that said they were great shocks. Did more then most guys get out Billy's. But why run stock on a non stock truck. Most that have issues run them that are designed for a stock weight taco. But have 2k lbs in extra weight.

I got a Q Industries SuperFlow MV50 compressor for like $75 or so about 4 years ago. It's super super slow.

That's why I have CO2. I had the tank for brewing beer already which I bought used for next to nothing. I just needed the regulator, hose and nozzle. I think I paid maybe $75 for the whole thing.

I still carry the compressor for back up though.

    Hey folks

Some of you may know, and for those that don’t, we had another TW member lose their home and belongings, including the Tacoma, to a wildfire yesterday.

Last summer I went through the same thing. The overwhelming generosity we received from TW at that time was amazing!

I am again paying it forward and coordinating fundraising efforts to get gift cards for our TW family.

Please use my PayPal to make your donation and I will see that it gets to @Whitebutler soon.

If you would like to send your old gift cards that still have a balance on them to me to forward, message me for a mailing address. Also, any Bed Bath Beyond coupons, I’ll take those too!

We're doing the same during thanksgiving and into the weekend. Yosemite-Bodie/mono lake-Mammoth/bishop.
Are bears a concern in bishop or mammoth during this time of the year? This will be our first time checking out the eastern sierras.

Always good to be weary of them. I’ve never had issues on the east side. But they are in Yosemite year around and I’ve seen them. I just had a friend get woken up by a bear pushing her head... she was sleeping at the bottom of a climbing route. Lol sketchy

Can anyone recommend a foam pad for sleeping on in the bed of the truck? We have 3 that we use (all at once for a nice 6in or so of foam comfort). The main one is a goner. Just looking for suggestions

I bought a 4" foam mattress topper from walmart and use that with plywood. Very comfortable.

So i finally took the truck in to a buddies shop to see where the knocking sound is coming from. 99% sure its the rear diff :annoyed:. Pulling it now, hopefully just a bearing. I'm glad I got the assembled third from ECGS, I
reached out to them and they said it should be covered :fingerscrossed:.

What you described before sounded like a driveline issue. I'd replace all your seals at least since you pulled the third. Most the time bearings will make a drone, hum, or grinding noise. If the backlash isn't right, it could make a knock when shifting but youd probably notice a hum more when driving. Look for any chips or minor damage to the gears, but if they rotate smooth and theres no physical damage, it's probably not there

That's like what I have now. Rolls up and has it's own straps and a bag to carry it. I think it's 3". Pretty comfortable and fits between the fenders perfectly.
