I have the JBL and will upgrade to an OEM Audio + system as soon as they develop one for the JBL equipped trucks. I would recommend skipping the JBL as the sound is muddled and the power is weak. For comparison sake, I mostly listen to heavy metal and I like it loud.

Get a Limited....comes with all the goodies and is less expensive than the Pro.

No moonroof in Pro. Engineers at Toyota concerned with extreme body flexing when serious off roading my cause sunroof to shatter.

That makes sense because you can't get A moonroof in the 4runner pro either.

I was considering a Pro but I am glad I went with the Black, Longbed, moonroof OR route. I love it. The JBL isn't as bad as people say but it could use an upgrade someday. Do what you like.

This I test drove a tech and premium the moonroof definitely makes the cabin feel cramped, plus one more thing to break/fix...

I have gotten quite a bit of enjoyment from the Sunroof in mine, I am only 5'-10" so headroom in the truck is not an issue at all.

To each their own. I am 6' exactly and I have like 3" of head room. I feel fine and I love having a moonroof so to me it's worth the little less headroom an potential to fix. Modern factory moonroof's are pretty reliable these days though. Now the moonroof in my '14 Civic Si, I had like 1/2" of headroom so this is a lot of headroom to me :)

i have the4x4 trdorlb with jbl and moonroof. I could do without the moonroof but have plenty headroom and I'm 6'2". However I have long legs and keep the seat back almost all the way. I like the JBL though it could use a bit more amplification.

I take it you haven't seen the 2 exploding moonroof threads here and a few leaking ones...;)

Same. I ride with it and the rear window down all the time. Even goin 70 on the interstate the wind flow isn't overwhelming.

Thanks for the headroom comments, I'm 6' 1" and didn't think about the headroom , but it sounds like I'll be ok with that I drive with the seat all the way back and reclined a bit . But great points ! Thanks

I'm leaning toward the loaded OR in black

Sure I have read them and it doesn't concern me a bit. That's not necessarily a scientific approach to knowing how big of a problem it is. Edge cases will always exist. Do you know how to science or are you the type that believes that if a few trucks have a particular issue, they all must have the issue? Anyway, I like my moonroof fine and am willing on taking the risks so I don't know what your point is.

"How to science"? I have a bachelors in natural science and mathematics and in grad school for a doctorate. Am a meteorologist for the Air Force and have wrenched on a few trucks, cars, jeep and rebuilt a few small engines but by all means continue with whatever point you were trying to make with science?... I simply pointed out, after you quoted me, your andectoal assumption that moonroofs won't have issues you alluded too. By statistics yes the majority should be problem free but it's still an additional thing that COULD go wrong. But they are a nice feature and glad you like yours.
