    Hello
I’ve got a 2018 Tacoma TRD. It’s got a bit over 29,000 miles. I traveled down to the border and while waiting in idle and 110 degree heat the AC air became warm and the temperature gage moved to 3/4 range. I turned the AC off and it returned to normal. I took it in to the dealer. They performed a diagnostic, and they said nothing was wrong. Well my friends 2018 Tacoma TRD had the same problem. She actually recorded the temperature gage as it heated to show them proof because they also told her there was nothing wrong. So the recording helped because they replaced the fan kit and it has not overheated since. I’m planning on recording the gage this weekend and I’ll keep you posted on the outcome. I have a1996 4 runner and 1999 pre runner and neither has ever overheated! I’m so disappointed with Toyota!!

So did they add the auxiliary fan? You may need to take a photo of the radiator to show if its there or not.

AC on a hot day with low speeds will cause a lot of vehicles to over heat.
