Hey guys, quick question. I saw a few threads where people we're putting shocks/coils from 2017-18 trucks on older tacos..

how much lift does this achieve?

Is it even worth buying some and installing them. My buddy has an entire set fresh from his 2018, he'll sell me.. update: found 18-19 OR suspension for $150.. worth it?

Do it, 1" is all you can expect, plus if you have original suspension it's likely due for replacement anyway.

Well, he wants $400. Isn't just giving them to me. What's a fair price. It's for the stuff below.

And why pay $400 just for 1-inch. When I could spend the same for 2-3. Although it would be a nice small increase, better ride, and I wouldn't have to worry about all the other stuff that comes with a 3-inch lift. UCA, camber, rear diff drop. Etc. Idk.

Update... Found all this for $150

I have 3rd gen coils that gave me 1" of front lift, I paired it with a 1" lift spacer for a total of 2". I'm level now.

Fuck that lol I was getting trd off road shocks for 100. Dude ended up giving me the stock uca’s, u bolts, & overload leaf. Didn’t charge extra & it had less than 9k miles. You can find a better deal easy off someone who wants to get the shocks out of there garage.

Lol. Yeah. That's what I thought. He wants $400 for everything in that picture. Should I offer $150?

Probably trying to recoup some costs from a lift. Lol

Yea offer that lol I’d also say look up on your local Craigslist & Facebook marketplace, bet you’ll find the shocks for way cheaper than 400. He’ll have a hard time trying to sell his stock parts for that much smh

Edit: oh you’re in Vegas? I could give you the stock uca’s, u bolts & overload leaf if you want? Lol

Well they are the shocks and coils, and are those leafs in the picture?

Buying new online they're pretty expensive. Then again. We don't know if his are 2 months old, or heavily used for an entire year. It's a 2018... So yeah.

    Yea those are the leafs.
I’m sure you could find the shocks with coils for 100-150. Paired with the other stock parts you’d have a nice refresh in the suspension.
I’d be willing to give you the uca’s, leafs, & u bolts for a tank of gas in Kingman if we were to meet up. Lol

I'll take them @devidstaco hopefully within the next week or 2.

I found some stock suspension (shocks, coils, rear shocks) from a 2018 OR for $150. Or a guy with a brand new 2019 Off-road with only a few hundred miles on them an hour n a half away.

So I'm looking at putting almost brand new OR suspension on my 96k truck. Should give it a nice refresh, smooth ride, second life.

This is all bolt-on easy stuff right. Is there anything I'm not thinking of?

Will I need to mess with rear diff drop, bushings, or worry about the higher 750lbs vs 550 coils. Or am I good to go?

Ok... I'm doing it .Shop said my stock suspension is a bit beat up, so I'm snagging some brand new ones off a 2019 TRD OR. Less than 400 miles. Here's my current shocks. Thoughts ?

    Also... What's the chances 2nd gen suspension fits a 1st gen?? Like a 2002
