I just recently acquired a 2018 OR and it's been what I expected to be. It's a great truck. I've been researching on a non-tinted camper shell; however, all the companies sell only tinted. I've contact Leer, ARE, etc... they have only tinted windows, even the custom ones. Does anyone know of any non-tinted window companies?

With the OEM tint, an additional tint really diminish my visibility at night.

You can do the reverse light modification where you put brighter reverse lights in the bumper. A lot of people report it's a great safety feature because when you go to back up you have ultra bright lights that make most people around you in a parking lot for example stop and not try to scoot behind you.

I have a softopper and very dark rear tint (limo dark). I do have some issues backing up directly at night in my unlit driveway (typically I have no issues in a parking lot environment). The softopper has no side windows to let in light so it gets dark.

I just have very strategically placed side mirrors and use my back up camera.

You will want tinted windows on your shell if you carry anything valuable back there. I like that no one can really see in the sides of my cap.

Hey, that's a good idea with the lights. I didn't even think about that. I also like the openness of the truck when I switch lanes etc. I may have to get a camper with tint and remove it when I don't need it. I've been watching Youtube videos on how to remove them by myself.

Thank you for your input PackCon.
