    Hello Everyone,

I recently purchased a 2018 Tacoma (manual transmission). I am having issues with the back up camera and the reverse lights. Whenever I go in reverse, the camera does not activate and the back up lights don't come on either.

Here is what I have done so far to troubleshoot:

    1) Checked the backup light fuses
    2) Checked the back up camera connection
    3) Checked the first lead from the back up camera cable under the bumper for proper connectivity.
    4) Checked the back up light bulbs to make sure they are not blown.

Since neither the back up camera nor the back up lights activate while in reverse, I am assuming there is something I am missing that will get them both to start working again.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!!

Manual transmissions have a reverse light switch mounted to the transmission. Check the fuse to it, or the switch could be bad I guess.

Yep. I changed that out on my 94 Pickup.
