Correct. It does not allow the gas canister to pressurize, thus pressure sensor throws a code.
Amazing how many ignorant people there are isn't it ?

Didn’t a lot of those catch fire? I really can’t poke too much fun because I had a ‘73 Vega GT. Really made me appreciate my first Toyota pickup and then a Celica.

Yup! Ford had lots of lawsuits over exploding Pintos in rear end collisions. The gas tank would get shoved into the differential and kablooie!!!!!

Just got a call from the dealership that my truck is ready. They said it was a small puncture in the fuel neck. They are checking if that part was put on through automation or manually. They did joke around that my truck almost has an entire emissions system off another 2018 that was on the lot. Hopefully this solves the problem and I'll keep you guys updated in the next couple of days. Thanks for the feedback I appreciate it.

How does the truck know the difference between night and day?

Glad your finally getting your truck back. Seems like a lot of people would be ok with paying cash for a new truck than having it broke down at the dealer. I would have a really difficult time with this. I have a minor problem that Toyota has been trying to fix for 6 Months. I have the truck but they keep scheduling it and trying new things. Just about driving me crazy. Going thru a similar situation with a bad tire from Discount tire. The tire is out of round and they can't balance it. They ordered a new one that won't be here for a week and I'm scheduled to be on the highway all week. Over 40 mph the truck bounces and drives like crap. (Darling wife looks at me and say's WTF while driving down the road, Nice.) Hopefully you'll enjoy your truck when you get it!

Well you're not alone. This was my first truck and my first new vehicle and the whole situation with low ATF and dealers who won't check and "normal" and Atkinson cycle this and low end torque that.....

This truck has been a crazy headache for me too. You're not alone.

Where was your truck built? What number does your VIN start with if you don't know .

I think it does the system test about 5 hours after you shut it off.

I had a ‘73 Vega GT too ... not the highest quality car but sure handled well on smooth roads, better than any Pinto (or first two generations of Celica).

Last OT reply, but that Ford factory floor was pretty smooth concrete ... burning rubber was pretty easy to do in there. Glad the OP got his problem fixed and it actually sounds like a pretty good effort by the dealer cannibalizing parts of trucks in stock and not just waiting for parts to come in.

I agree also. I will give the dealership the credit needed. They went above and beyond trying to fix my truck. The service manager did tell me the national distributor did not have a fuel neck in stock. They would have had to order one and it would take up to a month to arrive. So the other truck they took it off of will be waiting for that part before they can sell it.

You should bring in a big box of donuts for the service guys. It's rare that they strip one vehicle for parts to fix yours.

plus you got a free 128k bumper to bumper warranty for free, plus you got a free loaner car for the time they had your truck, I wish my truck broke down like that to get those freebies I wouldn't be ranting about it on a forum for Toyota trucks for sure.
