This is all that needs to be said. No need to read too much into it, that extra markup covers the opportunity cost blown searching and waiting for an available pro. Everybody I know out that way clears $200k no problem and they’re not exactly in high up positions either. Go to Palo Alto sometime and look at what’s driving around, you’ll find $20k isn’t much.

Personally, I’d order one from the Midwest, ship and wait but to each his own.

Both Concord Toyota and Walnut Creek Toyota will sell you a TRD pro at MSRP all day long.

    How do I know?

We just put a deposit down on a DCSB Pro for my wife this past Saturday. Both dealerships quoted us the exact same price.

One dealership does not reflect the entire state......

Will they sell one sitting on the lot for MSRP or will they sell you a future allocation? Fundamental difference here, even in NC I was able to get one ordered under MSRP but would still see 1.5-2k markup for available inventory on the lot.

That was the dealership back in the day. NUMMI was a couple blocks away from that dealership - pretty sure they drove the trucks straight off the assembly line into the dealer lot.

With how close Fremont is to the Silicon Valley I can see someone buying that.

Neither dealer had one on the lot. One had a cavalry blue coming in on March 27th that fit our specs. That's the one we bought.

So true, a local dealer has one in NY. Got them down to 1000 off MSRP but still went with the OR under invoice.
