    Vehicle:
    2017 Tacoma OR 4x4 (formerly a 1998 SR5 PU, 2002 OR 4x4, 1995 4x4 4Runner, 1985 4x4 Toy PU) ... and RIP’s (rust in pieces) to a Bronco II 4x4 & S10 Blazer 4x4
Yup, that’s what I did - I asked for a check instead of having the repair place do the work and ordered my own parts after a left turn guy got t-boned by opposing traffic he cut off and spun out into my truck. He got a 2fer.

The pictures I have of the truck were taken at night and there was a tow truck right behind it with the headlights on so you can't even really see the damage because the cell phone pictures was over-exposed oh well..

I started a diminished value claim but they want me to call them back once the truck is fully repaired and back in my possession to continue that process.

What can I expect the outcome to be from this type of claim? It's a 2018 loaded Tacoma with 17k on it I would truly like to maximize my payout due to the fact that this will really hurt the value of the truck if and when I sell it because of the now tainted carfax. Does anyone have experience with this especially when dealing with a tacoma? I would like to do and say the right things to receive what is fair.

You were rear ended, they should be using OEM parts. If they refuse this might be the time to call your insurance and state your concern. Many times if it doesn't seem right with someone else's go through yours. And your insurance will sue their insurance for the right amount

Very important to find out exactly what information they will report to Carfax. Then run the report. If they mention frame work, you will really take a hit if you resell.

This. I would demand OEM on a newer vehicle. You may also have legal protections in your state in regards to this.

The only thing OEM seems to be the TRD 4x4 decals....
