I have a 2018 Tacoma sport I just replaced the serpentine belt and now when I come to a stop, the truck wants to die when it’s in gear. When the truck is in park it idles just fine. Only when I’m in Drive or reverse the RPMs get low and the truck will die every now and again. Any ideas on what is causing this or what I could do to fix it. Thanks.

Belts on correct. Now the truck idles at about 1k or lower RPMs and dies when I come to a stop

Negative. Oil pressure light came on when it died, once I started it again it went away.

Not that I’m seeing. Some forms say it could be the camshaft position sensor

You should be able to remove and replace belt without worrying about any positioning other than belt going on same way old one came off. I just did mine and no issues whatsoever. If you’ve checked belt diagram, might need to check with mechanic. Hope it’s something loose and simple.
