Is anyone with the 3rd gen having the same issue?

My ac fan ramps up in speed intermittently about every 20 seconds and goes back to the normal speed setting. This happens mostly on the low to medium setting. This is driving me crazy. The ac runs fine and puts out cold. The dealer service dept. was not able to find the problem the first trip out after buying the truck just a week before. Not to mention, one of the service guys made a comment on how he has the same truck and doesn't have this problem. (ok and?)

I'm scheduled to take it back in the morning to have them look at the truck for a second time. This is my first taco and I decided to spend the extra cash and get a new one which was about 8k more than the 2016 i test drove. I love the truck so far, just can't accept that this is some how normal operation.

    Thanks!

Is auto an option with the dual climate control? because I don't have that option.

Although I have a 2016 TRD Sport with technology package, I have auto setting on dual climate control

Just as a heads up, it doesn't look like you have a TRD Pro...

+1 - 2018 Pro's have dual climate. They have a red accent on the shifter and BSM standard as well. Not a TRD Pro.

Sounds like a faulty blower motor relay

Mine sounds more like the compressor cycling as opposed to blower.

No worries. Hopefully you get your fan situation figured out, my 18 doesn't act that way.

I have tried it on all available settings, it continues to do the same. Thanks for the post.

You have to tell your truck it is not a Pro, that it is just acting like it is one!
