New member here so if this has been previously posted I apologize. I recently purchased a 2018 TRD Offroad and it is stock for now. I am having issues with the front tss sensor not working as it should. Several times per day no matter the weather my radar cruise kicks off and I get a clean sensor message, although the sensor will be clean. Has anyone else had any issues with the sensor?

I've had mine for 6 weeks now (~1300 miles) and haven't had any issues with the sensors. With the weather lately, I haven't washed it in a little over a week and it still hasn't thrown up any errors. It might be because all my settings are on the lowest sensitivity though. :notsure:

There is a sensor on the grill and a sensor on the windshield. I can’t remember which one does what, but make sure neither are blocked by anything. Mine only acted up once and that was when snow/ice where covering the windshield sensor.

I have the same thing and my salesman told me if I ever have any trouble with it to call them right off. It is new to the truck so they are working on bugs. Mine has only shut off once and that was yesterday with it snowing wet huge flakes and when I pulled over to clean it the thing was covered with slushy snow. BUT we have had huge snowstorms and I have been out in them and no problems so must have just been the slush. I wondered if there was a way to maybe put a light behind it or something to heat it up during the winter but we will see. hopefully that snow crap will stop soon in mass.
so after all that useless info, I would suggest calling the dealer and have them check it out. I know I wouldnt put up with it.

I'm at 2K miles and haven't had an issue yet (knock on wood). I recently changed my grille out for a TRD Pro grille and the TSS works fine without needing a recalibration.

I would have the dealer check it out if the problem persists.

I've had several instances. All were during rain though

Yep, I’m with those who say to bring it in to have it checked, possibly replaced. It may just be a loose cable, dirty sensor (behind the grille garnish), malfunction or whatever... but that’s for the dealer to check/repair/replace.

I have only had it tell me to clear it once, and that was in very heavy rain.

Hi, just curious how you cleared it. Mine stopped working on the rain and won’t come on

It reset itself, once the heavy rain stopped. My guess is that it was too much noise (return signal).
Your issue sounds like a “bring it to the dealer” warranty issue. It should have cleared by now if you wiped off the sensor (logo).

Only time mine did that was in some heavy rain in the freeway, was a bit werid since I have been in worse rain and snow with no issues.
