2018 Tacoma

Has anyone heard when the 2018 Tacoma will be out for ordering?

 

I think you can order them now -- you just don't get to see it or drive one!

 

It's not on the website yet. It seems like most of the other 18 models are. I'm guessing they're selling current 17 inventory before the 18's come out. I've been waiting to see if they'll add Google/Apple carplay before making my decision. If not, I'll probably just wait another year.

 

I've read they started production the end of Aug but other than that guess your right...selling current 17's before releasing info on new ones...

 

Should be hitting the lots the end of December.

 

I put a deposit down for a TRD Pro 6MT at the end of October. I was told it would go into production November 3rd and be anywhere from 6-8 weeks. I haven't read anything confirming any production/delivery dates, so we will see.

 

I thought all the info said 18 production was to start in November and arrive at Dealers early December...

It is not likely that Toyota will add Carplay or Android auto anytime soon. From everything I have seen Entune 3 is the next upgrade that Tacos may see i the 2019 or 2020 modles and it does not offer either of them.

The quickest way to get either Carplay or Android Auto in your Toytota _______ is to put in an aftermarket head unit that has AA and CP.

 

We have Entune in my wife's 16 Rav4. It's like turning back the clock technology wise 7-8 years. I'm not upgrading until they address it.

 

Do it. The color is great! People literally ask me about it all the time which gets a little old, but it sure looks nice lol.

 

They ask us about it because of the Cement PRO. When they are at every corner, in the 18s, no one will ask us anymore
