I picked up a 2018 tonneau two-fold for $20 at a yard sale this weekend! Sadly they did not keep the hardware from the truck bed, just the cover. Also you might be familiar the 2018 covers use a pin clasp mechanism rather than the rail latch system. Searched a bit for any conversion threads and came up mostly empty handed... so here is my own. Open to thoughts and suggestions!

Spent about an additional $30 at the hardware store:
    2-48" stainless L channels
    5- 5/16 x 3 1/2 in eyelet bolts w/ nut
    20- 5/16 lock washers
    1- 4" 3/8 hex bolt
    1- 3/8 washer
    1- 3/8 nut
    1- 6' x 3/4" pipe insulation (rubber)

Replaced the 2015 taco rails with the 48" stainless channels. Used the OEM bolts and mounting holes. Used the eyelet bolts in place of the striking pins, spaced out with 2 lock nuts above and below the channel. Used the 3/8 bolt for the retention bolt secured to the channel. Last fitted a 3/4" rubber pipe insulation over the head of the bed to secure the weather strip that didnt quite reach the bed. Currently the bed is water tight except at the tail gate where there is about a 1/2" gap from the weather strip to the tailgate... not too worried though.
