One component that I've noticed about the stock Wranglers is that I have to add air every two weeks - I run them at 31 PSI, and noticed last night they were at 27-26 after a trip to the store, and it's been almost two weeks exactly since I last had to add air.

One thing I’m also curious about is the complaints about rain. I have driven in a tropical storm and found the wet road performance good. I will update after I replace them.

The stock Goodyear's do ok in the wet, I was amazed at how much better the Wildpeaks are in the rain, it was like it was a different truck.

Just dump the stockers now! I got $300 credit for them at America's Tire with 2k miles on them, so that swayed me...

Problem with America's Tire is they are not Country wide to walk in and make said change.

Fair enough. The main point of that was to indicate that there are options out there to recoup some of the cost of new tires. I went to a few different places around town, some local, some national brands, to see who would do a trade in credit of some sort. Most didn't, but finally America's Tire made me a solid offer and I took it.

No America's Tire shops are local in SLC, so I'll have to put them up on one of the local classified services. But $300.00 in credit is really good.

Pulled the trigger and ordered set of Wildpeak AT3's, 265/75/16 - around $625 installed at discount tire. A few hundred clams is worth the piece of mind knowing you've got a better performing tire when you're stuck in a snow storm.

    Some stuff
I had these on my Jeep, before the KO2s on there now.
Spent ALOT of time on Padre Island Natl Seashore.
If anything, on the loose sugar sand, the goodyear's were a little better.
    They didnt dig in.
    The KO2s weren't bad either.
When it comes to sand, the less aggressive the tread, and the softer the footprint, the better.
We dont have the power to spin serious meats like a paddle wheel....

You will like them. I've had mine for better than 20k miles and they have been great.

Dumped the stock tires at 280 miles. Picked up 265/75R-16 BFG KO2s. Put about 300 miles on them today driving up to Sedona. Happy so far. No rubbing.

I hit 59k on my Firestone le2s on friday. Still sitting at 4-5/32nds. We had a set of 4 265/70r17 KO2s at my work that a customer had returned after a few days because it made his truck drive "crazy". My boss offered me a deal on them I couldn't refuse. Not my first choice in tire, but they are nice. No rubbing here either, and they are quieter then my le2s were. Crazy!

Did you measure both at the same outside air temp? Colder weather = PSI drop

I did actually, when the air temp had dropped and when it was pretty much constant at 80-85 degrees.

Got 'em installed - very happy with how they drive on the pavement, looks, and build quality - I'll get to test 'em out this weekend on some actual dirt:

The stock Goodyears really suck in ice and slush. Thinking I might try some Sumitomo AT tires that are 3-peak snowflake rated. No one seems to have any experience using these...
