    Just starting mods
I found a TRDPro vin and called my dealer in parts. He had one to me in 2 days. Probably helped that I had just purchased a new Tacoma the week before...everywhere else I called was a no go...

Magnaflow Exhuast TRD PRO Grille w/ TSS Garnish
I bought my TRD PRO Grille (original Toyota part) off Ebay from a dealership in FL. It came with the garnish already installed. They just asked to verify my VIN for my 2018 TRD Off Road. I am assuming to ensure it is the correct part and avoid returns.

I installed the grille tonight. A few things that I ran into that the OP didnt expand too much on:

-There are two circle rivets you have to "pop" out after removing the 10mm bolts when taking the original grille out. I used a flat head screw driver, but it actually takes A LOT of leverage to get these things out. I ended up braking one, so be careful. Luckily it went back in okay and seems to be holding the new grille just fine.

-I had trouble finding the "tab" to remove the TSS pigtail connector. It is a really small piece, and a normal size flat head is probably too big. I used a pocket knife to lift the tiny tab and pull apart.

-There are 3 mounting tabs that hold the TSS sensor wire in place. There was not a lot of explanation on how to remove these mounting tabs from their mounts. I ended up using pliers but I kinda mangled the damn things. It didnt really seem like you can "depress" the tabs in any way to get them out. If anyone has a better way, please share for future reference!

-One of these mounting tabs is no longer needed with the PRO grille, I was able to take a knife and cut it off (to avoid rattling).

-Some folks say you need a longer wire for the sensor. I did not find this to be the case. The original wire length is still perfect. And its pretty much impossible to see the wire from the outside unless the hood is up and its sunny out...

I started up my Taco and drove it around with the TSS sensor error light on. For 20 minutes I was thinking I screwed something up and was regretting not just having it installed by the dealer...then i realized I forgot to connect the pigtail conntector after I installed the grille

I obviously am in no way a "handy man" or mechanic...but the whole process was not too bad. And I saved $150 in labor. If I can do it, anyone here can.

Ebay unfortunately. Seems like canadian dealers wont order OEM pro grills for non- Pro vehicles. Last week my salesman told me the Heritage grills aren't available with safety sense yet...

I had these exact same issues. I document pretty thoroughly earlier in the thread, but the only fix I could make work was to install the oem garnish.

The question remains as to which dealerships will still sell an OEM grill for a non-Pro truck? Many are saying that TRD has VIN locked them and won't sell you one without a genuine Pro VIN and pics of the damaged unit. If you know of any, please let me know. My shop has been jerking me around since March. Thanks

Dealership in Daytona Beach, FL sells a PRO grille on eBay with the garnish. I gave them my TRD OR VIN and they shipped no problem.
