I asked this in another thread, but does any one know where to get just replacement letters?
I noticed the other day the A is missing on my grille, which is fairly annoying. Probably lost in the car wash. I've thought about stickers instead if necessary, but would prefer it the way it should be.
    Thanks

To stay on topic, I have an eBay pro grille and never used the garnish. I cut a piece of thin black plastic from my trailer battery box and used that to cover the sensor. It works fine except when there was freezing rain and the sensor was blocked, then I had the error message, but it was gone the next time I started the truck. Unused garnish is available to anyone who wants to buy it.

I would contact the person you purchased the grille from and see if they will sell you the letters I’m sure he will

Getting ready to pull the trigger on a TRD Pro grill. I have it narrowed down to three options:

    1. OEM for $197
    2. Motorgenic aftermarket for $100
    3. Toyota Proshop aftermarket for $120

I plan to pair with the OEM garnish and wire harness.

Does anyone have any experiencing purchasing from one of the aftermarket vendors that I listed? If I decide to go aftermarket I want to make sure I get one that has the entire letter plate that has to be screwed on rather than the double sided tape on letters.

I did the OEM at least you know you won’t have any issues. And the cost is not much more and no headache.

Just look up if there are any for sale online - most dealerships will post the VIN in the listing.

Go to car max or auto trader and look up a 2018 TRD pro and get the vin number that’s all you need. It has to be a 2018

Like almost everyone else it seems, before I bought my 2019 Tacoma TRD Sport, I looked into swapping out the grill. I bought the TRD Pro grill off of Ebay, and have installed the Sensor cover. As of today, I have not actually swapped grills yet, as I am waiting until next week to do so, because of time limitations. But, I just wanted to put it out there, that buying a TRD Pro grill from the dealer is insane! They want over $380, whereas, you can get an aftermarket one that looks the same, for $99! Now, having said that, the $99 one I saw, did NOT come with the sensor cover, which was extra. Also, on most of these aftermarket grills, you ahve to put the TOYOTA lettering on yourself. Most are "stick-on", which bugged me, as I could see one of the letters coming off after a year, and then you are screwed. BUT, the one vendor I found, offers an aftermarket grill WITH SENSOR, for $159, and on this one, the entire TOYOTA lettering is actually ONE PIECE, and SCREWS on the grill from the back! Now, that is piece of mind, gentlemen! Here is a direct link to the grill I bought:

I have a $72 eBay China grille that I DYI with a piece of plastic I cut from a oil drain pan about a month ago. Errors everyday 10 minutes into the drive like clockwork. Radar CC not working & PCS icon would come on along with the clean sensor message. I decided to try something else...

Now I have a piece of Kydex cut 4" X 4-1/2" set in front of TSS sensor directly behind the 2016-2017 grille insert & is working perfectly with a lot of testing. I tested the range with the radar distance button on the steering wheel & my truck is tracking distance perfectly. I tested a stationary vehicle turning left waiting for traffic while in radar CC. The truck slowed down from 45 mph as approaching & then flashed "Brake" while turning off CC. Seems to be working perfectly with the Kydex as another member here has used with good results & eliminates the need of the shiny garnish that people are complaining about & will protect the sensor well.

Here is the dimension I cut the Kydex to fit
