Just put about 1200 miles on my new TRD Pro and the brakes are driving me nuts because of the Buzzing sound and vibration every time I put on the brakes (it seems) especially when Im backing up....took to 2 dealers, they say its just fine.......I have googled etc and found lots of folks with this same issue.....I just want to know is there a FIX for it? Sounds like its the Electric Brake Booster...but is there a fix? I want to press Toyota to fix it ....thanks

Sounding to me like you could have a warped axle. Search and read about it to see if that's your issue. If so there is a tsb.

Tiger_Bit......well I took my Pro to the dealer......they gave me one of their top technicians and the guy spent an hour with me.....we took my truck for a test drive and he felt all of the same vibration in the brakes and the sounds it makes. We started some investigations and found that the Off Road and TRD Pro models are the only models with the Electric Braking Boost System because of the Crawl system. The other models have a standard Hydraulic Pump Master Cylinder.

We then we took the truck down a huge grass hill and up the other side with the Crawl System engaged and he heard all of the grinding noises that it makes. I'm not sure if you put yours in crawl yet but watch out as it sounds like the entire front of the truck is ripping off and gears are just grinding.....anyway, we then took one of their 2018 Off Road models out for a spin and this brand new (had 45 miles on it) did Exactly the Same Thing as my truck ....we also put it into Crawl Mode and it made the exactly the same noises of grinding gears as mine.....so after all of this I feel that my truck is working properly...yet I hate how the brakes feel and how I have to hear that Brake Booster kick on (guess I'll turn up my stereo).....and as far as the Crawl System, guess I won't be using that much anyway.......so maybe this will help you with your same issue which again is normal through my investigations......I'm just amazed that Toyota Engineering would design a system like this......Good Luck

Wow! But thanks for the feed back n the info. Like u had said. A lot of people on here experience the problem. I also do get annoyed by the booster when it kicks it. But I'm starting to get used to it. Thanks again:)
