2018 vs waiting for 2019 (TSS / lifting)

I apologize if something like this already exists. I've done a few forum searches and can't seem to find anything.

I have a 2016 DCLB Limited. Absolutely love it, but with my job & adventures, I'm crushing mileage and have been considering selling and moving into a 2018 Sport Upgrade. My concerns are..

    1) Every dealership I have visited says there is a complete void on warranty if the 2018's are lifted. Are there any dealerships offering in-house lifts for anyone on here?

    2) Sensors/TSS - Does the lift affect the TSS sensors? That seems to be the main reason why the dealerships are using to avoid lifts.

    3) Could this mean the PRO line gets a refresh for 2019 and is the model that Toyota allows or specs with a slightly taller lift? I hear rumors of some updates/changes for 2019 but I'm guessing that's all speculation.

Any help would be much appreciated!

There's a few people that have posted here that have lifted there 2018s successfully, zero issues, no problems with dealerships.

What lift, tires, and wheels are on your truck? Waiting for my 2018 to arrive.

Why? What does the 18 have that the 16 does not?

    1) Every dealership I have visited says there is a complete void on warranty if the 2018's are lifted. Total BS if a dealership is telling you that.
Are there any dealerships offering in-house lifts for anyone on here? Here's one that does in house lifts in Colorado: https://www.interstatetoyota.com/i-25-customs/index.htm

    2) Sensors/TSS - Does the lift affect the TSS sensors? That seems to be the main reason why the dealerships are using to avoid lifts. Doubtful unless you have a super high lift, and the TSS sensor is adjustable like K91 said above.

    3) Could this mean the PRO line gets a refresh for 2019 and is the model that Toyota allows or specs with a slightly taller lift? I hear rumors of some updates/changes for 2019 but I'm guessing that's all speculation. Only 2019 difference for PRO from my understanding is a snorkel and possible stock BFG A/T KO2s?

The dealership is assuming all responsibility and Toyota will void any warranty work related to driveline or TSS. Your dealer will do the warranty work and sneak it by Toyota.

This is most likely correct but, I’m not really concerned about any warrantee work needing to be done...it’s a Toyota:)

Might be a Canadian thing, but I'm pretty sure you can get it re calibrated in the US. Plenty of people on this site have said so.

Only thing a dealer can do reguarding the warranty is not repairing something that they can prove your lift caused to break.

If your upper/lower ball joints go out and shit like that break and you have a lift, they likely won’t repair it.

    Work in progress...
I say buy the one Ya want. Drive it 10-15-20 thousand miles and then do what Ya want with it. Looks like You rack up miles pretty quick. My theory, if it doest't break in the first 15k, being a Toyota, it is probably gonna last at least 150K. Just my theory, don't quote me. F the warranty. Did a bull rider ever get a warranty?

Comox dealership when i got my 18 said a lift wouldn't void warranty. 2019 updates are mainly a snorkel for the trd pro lol. They already released full spec on them. Lots of articles around. Pm me if you need links.

I dealt with Laurie in Comox. She was awesome

Also, if you rack up kms like crazy then maybe work out a lease deal. Better write off for taxes plus dump the vehicle off after a couple years.

They say that because they want to sell the truck. They will fix a warranty issue but will a different dealer do a warranty repair on the TSS or driveline? The answer is maybe if they feel confident that can get it approved. They just don't disclose that the truck has a lift. The real issue is the liability when something happens. Our dealer is now making customers sign a waiver that states that they accept the risks and liabilities of the lifted truck. Now say the lifted truck gets into an accident and drives over a pedestrian that just happens to be pushing a baby stroller. TSS-P did not detect the pedestrian and stop the truck. Who would be at fault? Probably not the truck owner because of his inability to pay. Toyota will wipe their hand of it so that leaves the dealer. But remember you just signed a waiver stating you accept all liability. Could get interesting and expensive.
