went to another Toyota dealer today to show them the noise they told me once again it was normal that they were having other customers with those same noises on the Tacomas and the Highlander.... and there was no TSB or recalls...well see?

 

This is exactly what I thought of when i heard that lmao, sorry.

 

C'mon Honda, make a real truck already.

 

It’s normal boss, mine has been making that same noise since I picked it up 1/7/16. Enjoy your truck, you’re trying to find a non existent problem.

 

I gotta say, as an old timer, I'd also be concerned with a noise like that coming from an engine. My V6 makes a lot of crazy noises, but nothing that sounds like a deep knock. Makes me wonder how mechanics are supposed to listen for early signs of a mechanical failure in these engines.

My v6 sounded like a concrete mixer even when a hundred feet away. The new 4 cyl is quiet and smooth, like it is supposed to be. Could use another 50 hp though
