Yeah, that's a good idea, I just want something a little more than adhesive to hold em on. I've already starting cutting and gluing some rubber. just gonna make my own. Thanks for your input!!

Search for "bed cubby caps for sale"
(I don't know how to copy and paste the thread.)
I finally installed mine last weekend. They seem solid. You need something like this to keep all the mud and water out of them.

... I also sealed the drain holes in the bottom plugs and ran a bead of RTV around the lip of the cubbies (and the outlet plate) before re-installing.

I never knew it existed at all. I'm not sure if I saw it for the first time at the dealer or when I got home, but non-locking OEM type boxes are just a theft magnet and a hole in my bed where I didn't need one. The aftermarket driver's side box solutions just create an expensive larger hole in a place where a hole probably should not be. My small stuff stows in a .50 cal ammo can that lives behind the back driver's side seat.

I use a Dewalt tool box and a trunk organizer. .

The bed storage box has a couple of cheap ratchet straps.

To each his own. Having a locking tail gate and locking camper shell deter theft from that ”hole” fairly well. As far as a hole being where a hole probably should not be, that’s the whole point of adding extra storage instead of wasted space. It’s like that wasted dead space framed in under the stairs in a house, it’s much more useful when there’s a door to access it for storage.

Sure I could use an ammo can or something similar in my back seat but once again, that’s useful space for other stuff. Plus, I like to keep that area clean and clear. Anyways, the more storage options you have the better in my opinion.

    1st world problems I suppose...

I have a 30 cal ammo can on the driver's side for short term firearm storage. The lock is keyed the same as my house key, so I always have it handy.

That drivers side storage cubby is very useful for putting in a 7 pin trailer wire hook up. It keeps it out of the salt here in the north east. I have used that cubby just for that for the last 11 years.

My 18 had the left side compartment but now my 20 doesn’t. Does any bod know that I was to get the tuffy box...could I cut the panel to install it? Thinking of installing an ARB air compressor in there.

Are the measurements of the hole identical on the left and right sides? If so, take out the passenger side one and use that whole to measure off the drivers side?

But the aftermarket Husky ones are $250, and deeper. Still expensive for what they are, but at least they are metal, bigger and lockable.

I think it was mentioned in here, but my memory sucks and I'm too lazy to look, so here it goes: Has anyone looked into 3D printing one? It'll be a fraction of the cost, and all the extra drain holes you want, or no drain holes, or dividers, or anything else you can think of can be printed in there.

Anyone happen to know the name for the metal threaded “nuts” that are inserted into the bed liner for the cubby to screw into?

Anyone know the inside dimensions of the box? Can’t find a reliable source.

Looking for options to mount a 5# fire extinguisher out of the elements on my ‘19 and this looks like it could be just big enough.
