Hmm, I didn't find FP1 when I set the DVR last night.

Wow what a quali! Excellent work by the Alfas, Magnussen and Norris punching above their weight. And of course Leclerc who was just brilliant.

Late news: HAM got a 3-place grid penalty for blocking Raikkonen in quali.

The top 4 cars on tomorrow's grid are all from different teams! 6 different teams in the top 10!

I’m jealeous. The Italians got Lecerc and WE got Grosean. Doesn’t seem fair. If I had to pick a Frenchie, Sharl is at the top of the list!

I'd be happy if Haas had anybody but Grosjean. Well, anybody except Stroll. But even Stroll might be a better choice.

Well, it's just over. Do you think there will be a penalty for that last pass for the lead? I don't!
    But, I've been wrong before:)

Yes. Stewards have been heavy handed since the Vettel incident.

Finally! A race worth watching end to end. As for the last pass, I suspect there might be since they were even going through the corner and the Dutch-boy didn’t leave any space. But, who knows until we knows.

Absolutely amazing race! Would have loved to see Sharl take it, but Max was impressive. Hard racing for the pass, not my favorite move, but if there’s a penalty I’ll have to start finding another way to spend my predawn Sunday mornings.

The penalties have been terrible this year. They are ruining the sport!

Finally a race I didn't FF through. Brilliant drive by Max. Feel bad for Charl. Let's hope this heat wave continues at Silverstone and we get some more good racing.

That was epic, until that pass. That pass I did not like. They were wheel to wheel and there was a sausage curb on the outside. Leclerc was as wide as he could have been.

I think they were probably taking a long look at his steering input to see if there was an intentional move wider. I didn't think it should be a penalty. A good learning moment for Charl. I think his proper move would have been stay wide let max come in hot while he goes outside/in to get a good run up to turn two to defend.

There was nothing else LeClerc could do besides what he had done the lap before; let Max under him and hold the outside line. Max took that away from him. Up and under would have put him behind Verstappen, which is where he ended up anyway. Max was faster, pure and simple.

I hope the drivers don't start using the stewards for help now. Just fishing for penalties by throwing their car in compromising situation in hopes of a penalty that goes their way. Just race dammit. It was a great race by Leclerc and Max, and to come back from having dropped 6 or so places. Damn good race.
