I just got a new 2019 Off Road DC with the premium JBL sound system. I am coming from a 2010 with JBL. First off it seems that my 2010 system was way louder. My issue is the volume with the 2019. I was using the Pandora app before it just got taken off of Entune and now when I use Pandora with Bluetooth I can turn the volume to max and I can still literally almost talk in a normal voice and have a conversation with a passenger. It was ok just ok when using the app but not the best but now its lacking. It seems like it should be waaaaay louder as my older Tacoma I could not even turn it up all the way and you would have to def. raise your voice. My iPhone volume control is all the way up so please don't recommend that. Not sure if I am missing a setting or what but I am not happy about the weak volume. I have tried messing with the setting as far as front/back,bass,treble and mid but nothing. Any suggestions?

make sure the volume on your phone is turned all the way when connected to BT.

I actually found a setting within the iPhone that helped with the volume a lot. For iPhone owners go to Settings-Music- scroll down to sound check and turn that off. Definitely louder now

I like to use the usb connection, you get a better sound quality. Just my opinion.

Blackout package - planned: black bed logos, black wheel vinyls, front seat window tint, tires.
I actually just logged in specifically to post exactly the opposite experience. I had horribly limited volume with Pandora, whether running through Entune, or just directly Bluetooth connection through the Pandora app. Now that Pandora is no longer supported, the volume is WAY better...to the point of not even considering turning it all the way up. Anyone else experience this?

So here is a fun thing that I had a problem with on my 2018. The solution is that every phone has its own settings for the truck, so you need to go into the truck music/sound settings when the phone is connected and change a few things around, this made it much better for me.

Yeah...I had already done that for the first 9 months owning the truck because I was pissed about the sound. Once I received the Entune update, it just got better.

what is the etune update? I guess I saw they were removing 3rd party apps and some other things, but didn't know it improved sound stuff. Did you have the dealer update? I have a 20k service coming up in about a month and would have them do it if thats the way to go about it.

No dealer service. I just got pushed an update to Entune last week. I assumed that was required to remove Pandora support.
